Brigit, I totally forgot to mention the obseletion of the hastle of corded telephones! I recall going from room to room at my house and my grandmothers' home and having to either stand in one place - as long as the cord would reach, put the other party on hold and come back, or hang up (lol)! Those were the days. I can't believe I didn't catch that outdated mode of telephone use as you did. I went the route of all that mobile phone apps obsoleted.
I'm so thankful for the mobile smartphone of today. Not sure what I'd do without my Samsung Galaxy 3 (I'm an android girl). Now, if only someone could come up with a mobile hair dryer...I'm sitting under mine as I work, sitting as still as possible as not to knock it off of a stack of books and pull the cord from the wall! (-:
Hi Toni, Your right. I remember going to the store with my grandmother to find a longer card for the phone line. Now, if you had a cordless phone at that time you had it made. :) Brigit
Brigit: there are several people I know who have told me that their phone is their memory. I tend to agree, but I have also noticed that my tablet is my memory, now. It used to be my memory.
Oh, I had forgotten to comment on the applications we can use for smart phones. Good catch.
